Each Journey Begins . . . . . . with a first step. I’ve taken many in my life. Who knows maybe some of you have chosen to travel to Kanaka Makua, and not even realized it.
In Hawaii, a Kanaka Makua is a complete human being, mature in every sense. Someone who, through self knowledge, has developed mastery over each aspect of life. Someone whose connection to Spirit motivates and guides their heart, mind, and body.
To achieve mastery it is helpful to learn certain values and characteristics, the tools which make development possible. Each one has a message to light your path like a torch through the night. Follow their guidance and rediscover the light of island wisdom.
In order to complete this goal: (to bring the light of Pacific Wisdom back into your life). You must Learn to carry it in your body, understand it with your mind, and feel it in your heart. What is being presented here is only the beginning. It can point you in the right direction but YOU must take each step. This is considered by some to be the greatest journey you can make, leading to true freedom and lasting happiness. Travel isnt required, and it cost you no money. This journey takes place inside your mind, your heart, and your soul. Once inside yourself, in your mindset, can you truly learn what it is you want and where you wish to go in life.
Ask open questions. The Journey to Kanaka Makua is designed to help you think in new directions, to illuminate new pathways. Ask questions concerning your inner life and the skills you may need to master it. Avoid getting too specific. Just clear your mind, focus on your issue, and keep all options open.
If the answer doesn’t make sense at first, sit with it awhile. You can always choose another direction for clarification. Your challenge is to discover how the questions and answers fit into your development. How do they increase your self-awareness and help your light of understanding burn brighter? Remeber. There is more than one path.
Remember to have fun with these self improvments. There is no right or wrong. Its YOUR thoughts. So be honest with yourself. There is no fixed path. All you need is a sincere desire for growth, and an open mind.
