(It’s a dog’s life)

No matter what happens in life, or how goofy, or insanely impractical, our days become, if you have a puppy, s/he is always happy to see you. A dog just loves life, loves friends, and loves you. They want to show affection, and be given affection, it makes them happy, much in they same we we all want to love, and be loved.

In a primal sense, we are all animals. It is instinctive for us to survive or care for our bodies just like any other animal. We laugh, smile, cry, and relax at the touch of someones hand. Like to be hugged, petted, and nurtured, as well as to nurture. Ever watched a dog, begging to be walked, pacing back and forth at the door, hoping someone will come outside and play fetch. A dog will go stir-crazy if kept in a cage up all day. It’s instinctive nature to stretch their legs, run around and chase things. People are no different. There’s a certain feeling I get at the end of each day, when i walk to my car, breathe the open air, and just smile. No matter what happened at work, no matter what happened with customers, at that moment, I’m A-OK.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think we should lead our lives according to dogs’ lifestyles, at least not completely. But try to be happy when you see other people. Friends, strangers, family. Be warm, and friendly. You know, perhaps if we tried showing a bit more love, and compassion, we might find we sleep a little better at night.

So, go out, show some compassion, some love, some friendship… and while you’re at it, sniff a crotch or two, that’s what your dog would do.
