Life Evolves. Things change, progress, shift, and adjust as circumstances dictate. All the adjustments may alter our path, but should never alter our direction.. at least not once you are headed in the right direction.
Pit stops happen, and sometimes we take back road, but like any good road trip, you never turn around and go back. Follow your path, and then there is no need to look in the rear view mirror. There is no need to fear where you have been. You look at where you are, and look at where you are going.
Each day down that path the image in the rear view mirror gets more and more distance, til it is just a memory… a snapshot from a moment in time of your life. You may never forget it, but at least you can give it some perspective.
As for me, sometimes objects in the mirror are closer than they appear, but I am trying to teach myself to keep my eyes on the road, and not live in fear of what is in my past.
